I got told to watch this is England when i spoke to people about my project and that i had chosen to use the subculture 'punk.'
This is england is a film made in 2006. The story is about young skinheads in england in 1983. It shows how the subculture became adopted by england. The films shows gangs, english nationalist and racist views, drug use, violence etc. After watching it though i feel like i have a better understanding about what was going on at the time, regarding politics and why they were the way they were. I feel like i have a better insight in to the stereotypical 'punk' in the subculture.
