Evaluation

Looking back at this project, i have really enjoyed it. Ive liked that i have been able to pick the culture i wanted as it gave me the opportunity to pick something that i personally find interesting and inspiring. Ive also liked how it has given me the chance to be as creative as i have wanted to be, as i don't feel there were many boundaries. Working with wigs and learning about them has given me the skills that i can now take and use in the future, as i would never have felt confident using them, or even really considered using a wig before if i was doing a shoot.
Working with mythic wigs i have definitely found challenging. Having to think of different solutions and techniques to use for my design, where i would normally just use heat on the models hair. Learning how to steam set and even skills i have taught myself to be able to create different textures. The biggest struggle i found was with my extreme wig as i couldn't get the shape and height i wanted without using all the hair from the whole wig, but it would have looked much better if i had folded it and just used the middle section, so that the sides would have been much more slick. My look i was most pleased with was my moderate. I don't feel it looks like a wig, where my extreme you could still see the hairline. Overall though, i feel like my three designs, reflect my story, culture and research as they all have a more contemporary punk feel. I aimed to keep the texture on all of them so they could all be slightly different but still have the same feel to be able to tell my story.
I have really enjoyed learning skills with making wigs and knotting a hairline. I would have really liked to be able to knot the hairline, but i didn't feel i would have had time at the point in the project when we were able too.
Overall, although i wasn't 100% happy with my final outcomes, i have learned from where i went wrong and when i am to use these skills in the future i will be able to confidently. 

Simple images

I was pleased with the outcomes of my simple images. I like the way the way that there is colour in, but its natural and blends with the hair rather than being bright blues and greens etc. Looking at all my images together, i would definitely change the front of this design. I would pull it off the face and not have it down, as i feel they would all flow that little better if i had just clipped up the front section.

Simple

My Simple is the hair down with a slight fringe, and two small buns on the top of the hair. I want the hair to still have some of the texture that the others did, so it shows more of the story, rather than looking completely different i still want it to feel linked to it.

I steamed parts of my wig to get them straighter but just using a hair brush and a steamer, i left other sections so there would still be parts of the wig that had the texture as there is no colour or accessories in this look as its the girl at the beginning of her story.
I then created two small buns on the head.

I was originally going to just use the whole wig and none of my models hair but after creating it and trying it out in practices, i think it would look a lot better and more realistic if i leave the front section of my models hair to disguise the wigs hair line a bit better.

Moderate images

I was a lot more pleased with they way this one turned out. I used a lot thicker section of hair this time to cover the wig and i think it blends a lot nicer. I also crimped the front section of my models hair so it would also in keep with the textures i wanted throughout out. If i could change anything i would change the shape at the front, as from some angles it looks like its coming forward too much.
